Our Commitment to Privacy
At SatsFort, we believe your financial data is yours alone. We built Sats Fort with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought. This policy explains how we handle (or rather, don't handle) your data.
Data We Collect
Local-First Architecture: Sats Fort operates primarily on your device. Your wallet addresses, XPUBs, transaction history, and portfolio data are stored locally and encrypted on your machine.
No Account Required: The free tier requires no registration, email, or personal information. You can use Sats Fort completely anonymously.
Supporter Accounts: If you choose to become a Supporter, we only collect the minimum information necessary to process your Lightning payment. We do not store payment details.
Data Storage & Encryption
- •All local data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
- •Cloud backups (Supporter feature) are end-to-end encrypted before leaving your device
- •We cannot access your encrypted backup data - only you hold the decryption keys
- •You can connect to your own Bitcoin node to avoid any third-party data exposure
Third-Party Services
By default, Sats Fort may query public blockchain data from third-party APIs to fetch transaction and balance information. You can eliminate this by connecting your own Bitcoin node.
We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.
Your Rights
Since your data lives on your device, you have complete control. You can export, delete, or modify your data at any time without our involvement. Uninstalling Sats Fort removes all local data.
